Gee, I didn't realize my 515 (and I have a 405 PA) could be worth so much!
Hee. hee. I'm glad I located one years ago. Not only is it a FB CW rig, but
it's also tops on SSB too. I also made hundreds of really great QRP AMTOR
contacts with it before AMTOR fell out of favor.
The QSK was PERFECT for AMTOR's rapid turnaround requirement. Many QSOs were
made on AMTOR with 100% copy and decent throughput--even though the received
signals faded off the 'scope!
I really miss my 505. Overall, I think it was built somewhat better than the
509 I subsequently owned. For example, the 505 had a separable interconnect
(more costly component) on the loudspeaker cover assembly.
And, I recall having a Power Mite for awhile. It was not very good, but I
made lots of long-haul DX QSOs wth it anyway.
