Hi Mike,
I know how frustratingly long it takes to set up a bug to one's
liking, but your problem is certainly a strange one. I've been using a
Zephyr, a Blue Racer, a Lightning Bug, and my computer keying program on
my Omni 6+ for some 10 years now and have never experienced the problem
you have.
I have my set up all packed away now for an upcoming move, but I
vaguely recall something in the manual about a resistor change you can
make for particular keying problem. The resistor is for keying and not
for wave shaping.
Good luck and I'm sure you will find the Omni 6+ to be a superb
CW radio for you.

Subject: [TenTec] extra dits from Omni 6+?
I recently acquired an Omni 6+. I enjoy using a bug for operating
around
25wpm. I have noticed that the rig "throws" in extra dits randomly.
Very frustrating when I know I'm not making them. The key is well
adjusted and does not do this on other rigs or a cpo. There is no
problem when using an external or the internal keyer.
Has any one else experienced this phenomonen and/or have any ideas for
the cause and solution?
