Thanks, Eric.

Gosh, imagine what TRlog could accomplish in an RTTY contest with a SMART
terminal.
I LOVE RTTY. I also love PSK31. I am reluctant to get into those contests
because I just don't want to go through the learning curve of interfacing
myself to all the other software for those modes (and cost). (It is a
matter of number of hours in a day, priorities, etc. Yes, it is a choice).
If TR turnkeyed RTTY and the new PSK31 contests I would probably get on and
hand out QSOs and have a great time. We should make Tree and Brian Beezley
sit in a room together for a weekend - it would be FRIGHTENING to see what
they could produce in collaboration.
Probably a program which operated itself and could copy signals
undetectable by human ears. The 'Z-8000 Op' is born.
Back to the original suggestion, Eric, a dumb terminal would certainly make
it so a casual RTTY enthusiast could get on and hand out QSOs and have a
good time. That would be great. Now that you mention it, maybe the
easiest solution is just two old junkers sitting side by side. Work 'em on
one, log 'em on the other...hmmm. Now you've got me thinking.
Ciao,
Mark, N5OT
