1. CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests. Every Wednesday. Three separate
one-hour mini-tests. 1300Z, 1900Z, 0300Z (Thurs UTC date). 160-10M
CW. Exchange: Name + CWOps# or SPC (or CWA). This week only: please
limit speed to 20 WPM to welcome new CWA graduates. Look around 025 to
042 kHz on each band.
2. NCCC RTTY Sprint Practice. 0145 to 0215Z Friday (Thursday night
local date). 15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY. 100W max power. One/one kHz
QSY rule. Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. Look around 080 kHz and
up from 1805 kHz.
3. NCCC NS CW Sprint Practice. 0230-0259Z Friday (Thursday night local
date). 20, 40, 80, 160M CW. 100W max power. One/one kHz QSY rule.
Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. Look around 040 kHz and up from
1815 kHz.
4. 80M QRP Fox Hunt. Thursday night local, 0200-0330Z Friday UTC date.
Two QRP foxes will be between 3550 and 3570 kHz. 5W max power. Do
not spot the Foxes' frequencies. Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, Power.
Scheduled to be the foxes are N8SS, Earl in MI and NN4K, our own Mac in GA.
5. Nauryz DX Contest. 0800-1359Z Sat. 80-10M CW, SSB. Exchange:
RS(T) + ITU Zone or 2 character oblast for Central Asian stations. Work
everyone.
6. RSGB Commonwealth Contest. (BERU). I mention this Closed contest
because it will run 1000Z Sat to 1000Z Sunday for UK and other countries
of the "British Commonwealth." They will not want to work US stations,
since the do not count for the contest.
7. Straight Key Century Club Weekend Sprintathon. 1200Z Sat to 2400Z
Sun. 14 hours max operating time. Use a mechanical key. 160-10M CW.
Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, SKCC# or "NONE." Look around 050 kHz on most
bands.
8. South America 10 Meter Contest. 1200Z Sat to 1200Z Sun. 10M CW,
SSB. Exchange: RS(T) + CQ Zone. This is a new one and could be a lot
of fun if 10M is as good to SA as it was last weekend. Work only SA
stations.
9. Oklahoma QSO Party. 1400Z Sat to 0200Z Sun. 1400Z to 2000Z Sun.
80-6M CW, Ph, Dig. Exchange: RS(T) + SPC or OK county.
10. Stew Perry Top Band Challenge. 160M CW. 1500Z Sat to 1500Z Sun
(14 hours maximum time). Exchange: 4 character grid square.
11. Tesla Memorial HF CW Contest. 1800Z Sat to 0559Z Sun. 80M CW
only. Exchange: RST + 4 character grid square.
12. Quarter Century Wireless Association (QCWA) QSO Party. 1800Z Sat
to 1800Z Sun. 160-6M CW/Dig, Ph. Bonus points for QSOs with W2MM.
13. Idaho QSO Party. 1900Z Sat to 1900Z Sun. 160-10M CW, Ph, Dig.
Exchange: RS(T) + SPC or Idaho County.
14. NCJ North American Sprint, RTTY. 0000-0400Z Sun (Sat night local
date). 20, 40, 80M RTTY. Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. One/five
kHz QSY rule. There is a team competition. I will be glad to register
a team if there is any interest. Please advise right away if you want
to be on a team for this one.
15. Wisconsin QSO Party. 1800Z Sun to 0100Z Mon. All bands except
WARC (and 60M). CW/Dig, Ph. Exchange: SPC or WI county. Usually a
lot of mobiles and county line operations in this one and can be a lot
of fun.
16. 40M QRP Fox Hunt. Tuesday night local date. Same rules as on 80M
on Thursdays, see above. Except frequencies are 7030 to 7050 kHz and
the scheduled foxes are N8SS, Earl, MI and NK9G, RICK, WI.
17. Phone Fray. Every Tuesday night. 0230-0259Z Wed. 15, 20, 40, 80,
160M SSB. 100W max power. Mults count per band. Exchange: Name + SPC.
18. CWTs every Wed. See #1 above.
