I have 5 volunteers for a SECC team for NAQP RTTY the following weekend
and would like to have a couple of more teams. So, please let me know
ASAP if you will be on a SECC team for NAQP on Sat July 20. I will
register the teams on July 19.
I have agreed to pay $50.00 as the SECC contribution to the expenses of
the contest suite on Friday night of the Huntsville Hamfest. If any
SECC members who plan to attend Huntsville want to contribute up to
$10.00 each, I will accept reimbursement, but e-mail me to confirm that
the contribution hasn't yet been fully resubscribed. If not, then it
will just be my contribution on behalf of SECC.
Hope everyone has a nice week and weekend and a lot of QSOs,
particularly in IARU. Six meters has had some scattered openings,
including some for DX, so keep monitoring that band. It should have
good openings on occasion for perhaps another 30 days. Also, the higher
HF bands have been having openings for DX fairly late at night some
nights. I worked a ZL on 17 meters at 0215Z last night and 20M has had
some very good openings at night to most of the world. I worked PJ4D on
Bonaire at 2230Z last night on 10M.
73, John, K4BAI.
