Congratulations to our members and friends in Alabama for a great turn
out as they revive the Alabama Contest Group! AL was very much in
evidence this weekend, more so than in most prior such contests. We
could have had quite a good composite score if all scores could have
been submitted together for one club. As stated by KC4HW, let's hope
that our Alabama members within our 175 mile circle will continue to
submit ARRL contest scores for SECC until ACG becomes an ARRL-affiliated
club. I am a member of ACG and hope that our AL members will also
continue to belong to and support both groups, realizing that
attribution of scores will depend on the contest, the circles, the
elections of circle vs. ARRL section limitations, and the interest of
each club in a particular contest. SECC and SEDXC had similar
cooperation for a number of years when SEDXC was primarily interested in
the CQ 160 contests. SECC supported their effort in that contest and
SEDXC members supported SECC efforts in other contests.
