As many of you might already know, Bill Fisher, W4AN, was inducted into the
CQ Contest Hall of Fame this past Saturday Night at the Dayton Contest dinner.
Hal, N4GG, gave the induction speech on behalf of the Southeast Contest Club.
He gave an eloquent speech despite the fact he had a short amount of time to
prepare his presentation. Plus, he had never met Bill before in person. I have
to say I was very proud to be a member of the South East Contest Club when he
concluded his speech because of how Hal represented our organization.
I want to be the first to thank Hal on behalf of the club. I know this had to
be difficuit because of the
circumstances involved. Also, thanks to all in the club (and outside) that
contributed to the nomination letter and helped Hal and myself getting the
facts in that letter to be accurate.
