Dan 80 does get rough in the South during summer, but it is clearing up now, at least in the mountains. A problem is that most state ARRL CW traffic nets operate on 80 with two sessions nightly , along with 4th Region Traffic Net and Eastern Area Traffic Net etc. These traffic nets usually start about 45 to 50kHz from bottom of band and run up to about 145 kHz from bottom end. 73, Archie, K4GA |
