Soapbox:
Nice contest with the time schedule 3 x 8hrs, leaves some time for other
things on the weekend (sleep mostly).
Conditions were bad. Did somebody in south US make a prediction how good
they would be ? Anyway, activity was good as far as one could hear them.
Lot's of repeats, lot's of patience required.
No real highlights except maybe J8PA (new one for me), hrd EM1HO on 40m but
could not reach him.
Since the contest was slow at times i did some comparisions between the SCS
PTC-II, the new SCS PTC-IIpro and the internal decoder of the IC-756Pro. No
difference with the new PTC-IIpro, just as slow with decoding, misses the
first two letters of a transmisson. The IC-756pro decodes somewhat better,
especially with vy weak signals. Wish they would provide the decoded signal
externally for PC programs.
Thanks to the sponsors and all who worked me, see you next in SCC and CQWW.
73,
Ekki, DF4OR
P.S.: In case yome of you are waiting, the FG/DF4OR qsl cards are at the
printer, i am waiting for them also :-)
