Peter I believe you are confusing two sets of rulesin attempting to give a
quick response:
The 50 mile criteria has to do with WAS from the ARRL not DXCC
I believe the rules for DXCC is that the contact must be made from one own
DXCC Country (48 US States in this case), can be made from the licensee's
station or another duly licensed station, but in either case it MUST be made
using the call sign of operator applying for the DXCC credit. (ie you cannot
count it if you used a club call, contest station call, etc)
