Did a walk by today. Appeared to be only semi-skilled labor. Kept going.
Looks like about 4 of 30 panels are up. Service entrance on far side of
house. Hopefully, that keeps noise over there. I'll walk by again. Don't
want to alarm the neighbor at this time. Trying to stay low key and not
make a problem where there is none. If I hear interference that changes
things.
Took some readings on 6m and HF today. Nothing unusual. I'll do this daily
and keep a log.

Before they finish the project, ask them about RFI issues ! !
I e=mailed the company and phoned the sales manager...he said he would be
getting back to me.....that was two months ago and so far "nada" !
The system is fully installed but don't think it is hooked up to the "grid"
yet...but I do hear a very loud birdie on 50.098MHz and an S6 trash on the
whole 6m band. You can hear the SMPS operating as it almost sounds like CW.
I have a house about 1200 feet away from my QTH that has similar traits
with the "birdie" on 50.098MHz and pretty much trashes the 6m band similar
to next door neighbor's house when in full operation.
Most of the RFI problems are with the "optimizer" modules and the only way
to pretty much eliminate this is to go with the K1KP method of doing things
with the ferrite beads/torroids. Ham buddy up the street, N1NK, did this to
his solar array system and it seems to be quiet, he says.
>From what I hear, the solar panels that don't have any optimizers are fairly
quiet...not sure on that !
When my next door neighbor told me she was getting solar panels, I told her
to let me know so I can talk to the sales manager when he comes over...well,
she didn't and now I have to suffer this summer Es season with S6+ RFI has
from the South and NE.
I sure hope that the FCC puts the hammer down on these solar panel companies
soon but it may be too late to do this .
Good luck and please keep me informed.

Tom,
How did your neighbor's Trinity Solar install go? They are at my neighbor's
house right now installing. I googled and found your email from November
2016. Neighbor is 1 house away diagonal behind my back yard. About 500
feet away.
