COMMENT: The solar activity is low. As active region 49 (NOAA687) is still
decaying, only C flares are expected, although a low chance of an M flare still
remains. The geomagnetic conditions are currently very quiet and reflect the
decreasing solar wind speed (400km/s) and positive Bz. Still, the ejecta from
the flares and filament eruptions of Oct. 23 and 24 can still induce temporary
active conditions in the next 24 hours. Beside this possible active spell, the
geomagnetic field should return to predominantly quiet conditions on day 3 of
the period.
