When doing tests from our Cisco router I usually send 500, 500 byte packets to
test the link.
That will usually push about 256 kbps both ways.. which I feel is a pretty good
indication of a link.
I am waiting for the engineering configurator so I can do some ping fill tests
too.. I have never seen 6 mbps.
