We are using Jameco DDU150090 power supplies. 15VDC 900mA. Mostly
using the 19db panels with various cards. I haven't seen temps this
high but then again, I'm in Indiana not Texas. You can order them
direct from Jameco's website.

Subject: [Karlnet] heat and PoE
Hello all,
I'm new to the list. I've recently launched a Turbocell
based wisp, things are going pretty well. Question I had
about PoE: Does using 15v and over for the kn-105 result in
less heat? The tech guy at KarlNet told me that the 12v I'm
using is actually below their current minimum recomendation
of 15v. I'm in Texas, and these babies are running HOT.
During the middle of the day, customer CPE's are typically
reporting 150 Farenheit. I have a variety of
antennas/enclosures. I have one CPE with a 200mw card
mounted in the sunlight that is resetting, I'm replacing the
card in that one today. It is the only one resetting, and I
have seen it report as high as 175 degrees. Yikes!
Anyhow, if anyone has insight on PoE as it relates to heat
please chime in.
Thanks,
David
