Early into the CQWW Phone contest, I began having hard disk problems (along
with my TS-940S failing!). The HD didn't completely crash, but was pretty
flakey. I continued to operate a little with a backup rig and ended up
making 306 QSOs. I did frequent "SAVELOG"s. When I restarted CT 9.13
after the contest, the "restart screen" shows "306 calls read" but CT only
shows 301 calls. The .all and .brk files also show 301 QSOs. Because of
my HD problems, I kept a list of QSOs worked for maybe the last 100 QSOs
and find that the missing QSOs are interspersed throughout the log. I
understand that QSOs could be lost due to my HD problems, but why does the
Restart Screen still show 306 calls read? Also, is there any way to
recover the lost few QSOs? Not a big deal since I can enter them by hand,
but would be nice to know for future reference.
