I never said I am trying to promote contesting. However, it has been one of
the goals of the on line scoreboard developers.

Ed,
How are you helping to promote contesting if you don't tie into the scoreboard?

As I understand it, one of the goals of the on line scoreboard is to "promote
contesting". If its private, then it isn't promoting. If its public, then,
like all publicly available information, you can't control the use of it.
I think its one or the other, folks.
I don't tie into it and don't watch it. When I am contesting, I am competing
against my personal best or potentially a record to be broken. So I get my
motivation from that. That is just for me personally.
