I was surprised to work 20 different Ukrainian stations during the
contest, despite all the forebodings. Even more surprising, 15 of them
were in Kyiv or east, and only 5 were in the west. Guess maybe they
figured there was nothing much they could do, individually, so why not
get on the air?
