I had many Qs that went something like this:
CQ FD from W0AIH
W0AIH from W2XXX
W2XXX 2E Wisconsin
QSL 2E Wisconsin we are 4A East New York could you give me your callsign
please
what!!??? excuse me!!!??? you knew my callsign when you called me!!
The dupe situation hasn't changed since the first time I did this 15 years
ago. One persistent soul called me AT LEAST 4 times/hour for about 5 hours.
After working him 3 times I just ignored him.
On CW I found that if I sent about 32 - 34 WPM I could still work a lot of
guys but it filtered out the really s - l - o - w types.
As one who has "experimented" with cute phonetics in the past (remember Bomb
Saddam Hussein ??) I can attest that they do nothing to increase the rate!!!

Ah... the joys of FD
You know the scary part is that these same ops are the ones who show up for
emergency communications,etc. Makes you wonder how any traffic gets through.

I checked into the converse server at ve7arg which is hooked into other
convers all over the place and there were people getting FD contacts from
all over Europe plus W and VE (I gave out some contacts myself).
If our local clubs had done FD this year they could have just set up a
packet station, hooked into the converse server (which is via an Internet
gateway), and got a lot of QSOs with just a couple of watts out.
When you're on the convers node you can't tell whether the contacts you
make are amateur radio all the way, or Internet (or commercial satellite
etc.) in between.
Maybe it is time to change the rule for packet but I'm not sure how you
would write it. No cluster, no convers node, no ..... ??

Also also, look for 4U1ITU in the IARU test. I will be activating
the station while I happen :-) to be in Geneva on business.
Remember, 4U1ITU is a HQ multiplier, and I expect to be active
on both CW/SSB, all bands. So please give me your Q's!
