Man-O-Man,
The anti contesting crowd was out in force on Facebook this time.
The best comment I saw was.
I just got done putting up my brand new 10 meter 4 element beam, And now
I can't get on because of the stinking contest!
These people really do not have a clue do they?
We NEED the webinar about how contesting is good for the hobby and how it
can make you a better operator.

It has seemed like the QRZ Contest in recent years. This year it
seemed
to be
the 73 Contest. Surely 'thanks' is sufficient, given the length of
the Q
and
the fact you haven't exchanged names?
Decent contesting form seemed to rule this past weekend. I only heard
"please copy" a couple of times.
Admittedly since I wasn't working US stations, my sample may have been
biased. Maybe the DX stations working the US stations heard all kinds
of "please copy".
I remember when I did a lot of Digital at Field Day this summer and
there was a whole bunch of "please copy" in the digital exchanges! So
maybe this is a US-ism.
