FYI folks. The Northern California Contest Club-sponsored Sprint is back on
and will be running for its 26th session, or ladder. This one will be a
short seven week series in January and February of this new year. This is a
very spirited and fairly high-speed celebration for all who love CW and the
"unique" sprint QSY rule, which requires that the "CQing station" leave the
frequency after his/her QSO. This it's a test of agility and tuning, rather
than simply setting on a frequency and "running" stations. The North
American Sprint is coming up soon, and the NSL is a wonderful test and
practice for both our gear and the operator!
See you in both, and Happy New Year!

N3QE has graciously agreed to work with the
<http://3830scores.com>3830scores.com data so all the scores can be
posted, "ranked," and reviewed by everyone. Matt, NQ6N, had put together
an excellent system for direct reporting as 3830 scores were entered, but
for every ladder it has been difficult to get it working after the 3830
code evolves. So we'll just have to see where this goes.
Here at n6zfo the 160m antenna is working again after re-discovery of an
important antenna principle: The center conductor of the feedline needs
to be connected to the antenna. Apparently during the big upgrade
project we ran over the barrel connector in the line.
