As Contesters we all have an opportunity to make our RadioSport skills
available in public service during Emergencies. Many of us are designated
Emergency Responders.
Fellow well-known NCCC Contester K6XX has been serving (many hours) as the
main control operator on a Resource Net of volunteer Hams for the big Santa
Cruz Mountains area fire (literally in Bob's backyard) that you may have
seen on the TV News.
Thanks to high-tech, you can monitor the local repeater net traffic there in
real time via the Internet at:

quiet, of course.
