Has anyone here had experience using the new Electrofilm high value capacitors. They are like electrolytics, non polar, and go 2X beyond the old 450 VDC working voltage barrier. I see one rated 120 uF @ 1 kVDC for $128 US!!!! Another is 7.5 uF @ 1200 V for $14. Price is outrageous, but for a compact power supply, it might be worth it. A typical voltage doubler pack for a SSB amp would shrink by half or more, maybe. 73 John K5PRO _______________________________________________ Amps mailing list Amps@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/amps |
