Are you saying the traditional analog scopes are better?
No, the advent of digital scopes with direct value readouts does not
make analog scopes just junk, they still work, they can be calibrated
and serve nicely.
The current crop of newbies think the old stuff (pre-historical)
are unsuitable for continued service.
Buy a $180 Rigol service scope, then turn on ALL of the optional
features that are there and kept off until you pay up and see how much
money has been separated from you.
