I DONT KNOW ABOUT SWITCHING 3000 VOLTS. BUT IF YOUR JUST SWITCHING 30 AMPS @ 240 V ON PRIMARY.I WOULD USE A RELAY AND PUT A SMALL SWITCH ON FRONT PANEL TO TRIGGER RELAY.
