No the AL 1500 does not have torroids either. All 3 big box amps have the
same tank circuit no difference.

the full 1.5 kw out on rtty....at least below 18 mhz.
Why it wont operate at 1.5 kw above 18 mhz, is probably in a weak tank circuit
design....and or low eff > 18 mhz.
