I still maintain that if you aren't going to use equalising resistors, you
should get diodes from the same diffusion batch. That way, they're likely to
be reasonably matched on break down voltage, recovery time and reverse
capacity.
Personally, I always use resistors. But the resistors must be rated for the
reverse voltage rating of the diodes, and have enough dissipation, and
reasonable tolerance - say 5%.
