Let's assume that the screen bypass is 5000pF, and the source resistance of
the rectifiers is 1000ohms. This gives a time constant of 5 microseconds. So
now assume that the phase delay on a 3kHz component is 3 time constants, and
it represents 16 degrees. But the amplitude actually varies at syllabic rate
which is much lower, so how much phase distortion is actually produced?
