I have three solid state (28v nom.) eight MRF422 (1200w) HF amps
(one has 20, 40, & 80m filters), two power supplies, and lots of docs.
These are good 160-10m, I don't know about 6m use.
I would like to trade them for one 12vdc (600-1200w) HF amp
with bandswitched filters.
I need an amp that is suitable for mobile use for emcomm.
Examples of amps include the Henry SS750HF (even trade),
SGC SG-500 (with 2SC2290's not MRF454's, would need a
little cash with the SGC), or maybe a Worth-More WM1200+
(Is the "export" model w/filters clean enough for Ham use?)
Will accept other 12vdc amps (incl. homebrew or modified)
if they are 600w (real output, or better), have good HF filters,
& use commonly available devices.
Details:
Two of the three amps are complete, one needs two MRF422's
replaced in one module.
The amps & power supplies are in Skanti rack-mount chassis
and will need a little TLC (and proper filters) to be OK on the
air - thus the trade offer of 3-for-one (the two power supplies
are included).
Or, will sell the lot for $1,000. picked up at Dayton, Atlanta,
or in SE-GA.
