No, seriously, the E_H antenna is using PVC insulated house wire in its
matching networks at the kilowatt level without any trouble. No reason why
it wouldn't work in tank circuit applications.

The so-called E_H antenna is a tuned circuit at the end of a feedline which 'works' as an end-loaded random wire (the feedline is actually the antenna). As such, the properties of the wire in the coil don't matter too much.
