Sure enough, there was enough Cramolin residue on the inside part of the relay, and the spring was missing. Contacts cleaned up seemingly good enough, but without the spring that is nothing. It appears the MM2 relay is still available, for a healthy $180 or so, although I think this can be salvaged if I can find some sort of spring. JeffIf all you are needing for the relay is the spring MCM ELECTRONICS sells a package of springs for dial restringing. i have used them on relays also 73 Tony WA4JQS Anthony W.DePrato WA4JQS since 1962 CQ DX HALL OF FAME # 35 DXCC HONOR ROLL DXPEDITION OF THE YEAR 1992 VP8SSI DXPEDITION OF THE YEAR 1993/1994 3Y0PI VP8SSI 3Y0PI VP8BZL V31SS ZD8JQS WA4JQS/ZS1 WA4JQS/KC4 _______________________________________________ Amps mailing list Amps@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/amps |
