Yes, but the specs. appear attractive. What's not immediately obvious is that
this device has been engineered to do a particular job. It's not intended to
be used broadband, and it's not intended to be linear and this affects the
design of the silicon making it difficult to do those things.

I guess that if it was straightforward, they'd have done it a while ago. If
it's not straightforward then it costs a lot of money to develop and the
result has to have commercial return. A 250W 50V broadband bipolar costs
$60ish and that's a tough target to better. If you wanted to look into it,
then you will probably find folks to talk to at APT (Santa Clara), Pointnine
Technology or Semelab.
A 300V 3-500 tube would also be attractive but (as far as I know) no-one has
done that either.
