Bill Clinton uses similar word games.
Anyone with decent reading skills reading that letter would note:
1.) It thanks you for sending in the tubes
2.) It says YOU reported the tubes oscillated
3.) It says the grids are damaged
4.) It says that was "apparently a result of the oscillation condition"
that YOU reported.
There is no way for a tube manufacturer, or you, to tell if a grid
overheated from an oscillation....or excessive drive. You have no
way of knowing because heat damage is heat damage.
The amplifier you removed those tubes from was manufactured
without a grid protection circuit, and early runs of that Dentron
amplifier had NO grid meter!
