Hi Mike,
You may have an odd unit there...
My dim memory of how the Superior numbers run would suggest that it is
a 440 volt (from the lead 4) three phase unit for open delta connection
(the -2 denotes two stacked transformers) .
If one of the poles is missing that may have been where the rating
plaque originally resided.
The really big variacs are rated about 100 watts/pound.
