If we had that CD with long forgotten articles on linears, you could
eventually see there a copy of Bill Orrs RADIO HANDBOOK 22d edition writing
about the series resonance of capacitors:

You can check the resonant frequency yourself with an grid dip meter ( used
since 1938 - remember the AEROVOX LC-CHECKER? ). Just tie the leads
together. You can in this way cut condenser leads to your operating
frequency. By paralelling capacitors of different resonant frequencies, you
can make your decoupling more broadbanded. Remember there may be in many
places harmonic currents that you must take care of. The best broadband
condenser should be a multilayer chip condenser that has no leads at all. Is
there any that can take the high currents in a linear? CENTRAL LABS 858 or
equivalent?
