I have found an Alpha 374A that is for sale locally and I need some
information.
The 374A added 160, has to be modified for 10, and used a pair of 8874'
instead of three. What else changed from the 374 to the 374A ?
I am assuming that it probably would be good for RTTY in the 600 - 700
watt output range but not more for any length of time. Am I close ??
Any problems driving it with a solid state xcvr? Will it have to be
modified to prevent hot switching? I have a FT-990 and have found that
many of the older amps will not switch fast enough.
Anything else that I need to know?
Thanks,
John AE5B
