Hello All,
I am new to this reflector and want to learn all I can about HF/ VHF/
UHF Tube Amps.
I just acquired a AM-6154 with the 8930 tube, @ 350 watts out. I heard
that a new tube is out, the 4cx400, that is a direct drop in replacement
for the 8930. It apparently puts out 500 watts. I am wondering if anyone
has done this replacement, and if so, was there any problems experienced
??? The AM-6154 appears to be a real rugged Amp !!!
