The resistor used in that Ten Tec isn't the best choice. Over time the ouert coating of the resistor flakes off and exposes the wire winding to dust etc. and unless it is kept clean or replaced it can cause a problem later on. The proper resistor has a hard durable enamel coating that won't flake off. -----Original Message----- From: Doug Renwick <ve5ra@sasktel.net> To: amps <amps@contesting.com> Sent: Thu, Nov 16, 2017 11:08 am Subject: Re: [Amps] Glitch resistor + fuse? Correction: The Tentec Titan amp uses a single 10 ohm 25 watt Ohmite 0610 part # L25J10RE. There are lots of them on EBay for free shipping and small quantities. 73 Jim W7RY -----Original Message----- <The Tentec Titan amp uses a single 10 ohm 25watt ohmite. <Doug --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus _______________________________________________ Amps mailing list Amps@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/amps _______________________________________________ Amps mailing list Amps@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/amps |
