You can test the meter with a ohm meter. Disconnect one side and check for
continuity. Mike

OK, found schematics (thanks Bob W1ICW). Looking at the glorified voltage
divider, I'm guessing it's just an open resistor on the meter board. I'll have
a closer look at it later this week.
Hoping the meter coil isn't bad...
