 The 813 was way underated as are many other tubes of that era, my own use

them over decades indicates an ICAS Pd of 200-250W is more realistic and

a little air on the glass. I show just a little color on SSB voice peaks

1200W for 4 tubes. On CW in a contest enviroment there is a fairly steady
dark red<
I'd agree about the carbon anode ones, but does that really apply to the 
metal anode ones?
