I think you intended this post for the antennas reflector.
But as I recall the principle of the Max-com antenna, it was just a =
broad-banded, RF step up transformer, from 52 ohms to around 500 ohms.
The secondary had a 500 ohm resistor across it. In parallel with that =
resistor was the center of a dipole antenna.
Depending on frequency, efficiency could be as low a a very few percent.
