[Amps] 866 rectifiers

I know this may sound silly but i'm curious about building a power supply 
that does nothing except light up 866 rectifiers and/or other gas tube 
rectifiers.

I'm not entirely certain how they work (i.e., if I were going to build a 
supply, what pins would I use with what voltage, etc.).  I don't know what 
i'd do with it at first but it would make a fun project to build.
