Hello friends!
Hade some arcing in C1 in my old, faithful FL2000B, and found out
that the arcing was due to the fact that the relay closed the input from
the transmitter before closing the output to the antenna and the problem
is now fixed.
BUT when I tested the amp I noticed that in one of the 572B's there
is a small blue flash on the glass when amp is drawing current, it
comes with the dits and the daahs when transmitting CW. Is this something
that can be cured, need to be cured, or is it just the tube telling me to go
and bye a new one ?
The amp delivers full output and I am using Cetron tubes.
All the best to all of you and 73/DX(?) de Osten / SM5DQC
