I have also heard that RF Parts had about 5-6 of the 4CX1600B tubes in
stock.......and does not know when more will be available. Are they that
hard to come by ????
I wonder who has tried to build this project ?
Any thoughts ???

The HF2500 uses a pair of 3cx800a7's and I believe the later "E" Model uses
the single 4cx1600b. Make sure those pix are showing the "E" model for
comparison..
It seems that the 4cx1600 is going the way of the 8875, I would stick with
the original design using a pair of 3cx800's, popular tube, more expensive
but still available. I heard that Svetlana or Eimac cut production on that
1600, so stick with a more popular design.. Richy
