Yes, the QRP ARCI Fall QSO Party really is a contest...and a rather fun
one, if low-key, so to speak. It's also a good way to get the feel of the
bands a couple of weeks before CW SS. If this weekend's propagation is
representative of the conditions we get on the first weekend of November,
SS will be a blast! 15 was good and open for more than 6 hours from WA on
both Sat and Sun, with plenty of long-haul DX, as well. Worked JA and LU
in back-to-back QSOs about 2300Z Sunday, while hearing plenty of stateside
QSOs. Just a part-time effort (Game 1 of World Series and chasing EU on
160 took out Saturday night), but lots of fun, nevertheless.
