Comments:
Not much time to sneak away from a house full of family that has descended upon
us for the next week. (Family reunion at N9TF)
Losing interest fast anyway in these one dimensional VHF "DIGITAL"
contests.
No incentive to move about the band and play other modes. Played for almost 2
straight hours near the end on 6m when there was a good strong opening from EM66
to the SW and parts north, and found only two lone CW ops to work and no SSB. I
called CQ for about 15 minutes straight and no other takers. ~9Khz
(FT8/4/MSK144) of band activity in a band that is 3Mhz plus wide does not seem
very sustainable for ham use long term. Certainly is disappointing.
Making 2 meteor scatter Qs on 6 late Saturday night/Sunday morning was an
interesting bright spot, as were the 2 CW Qs, and two SSB Qs one each on 144 SSB
and and 432 ssb.
