Comments:
These days I'm doing a lot of experiments. Today I started the KX-3 at 5 watts
into an experimental sloper. After 1 qso and a number of calls without answers I
went to 10 watts and later got off of battery and onto AC to go to max 15 watts.
It was rough out there today but much better than the previous days of very,very
poor propagation. My one 5 w contact was with Den, NA1NA, in Ma.
When I was in the Army two of us carried an AN/GRC-109 composed of rx, tx,
batteries, generator stand, and hand crank generator in addition to our rifles
and other gear. We would have really loved a KX-3.
