Comments:
First 5 hours produced roughly 20 Q/hour for 100. Used to be a good HF
half-hour. Sunday was a slog virtually all the time. Weird to not have any
real openings to W1/2/3/8/9/VE.
There is no HP 3-band entry. Nor is there a 6M category. Amp is temporarily
off-line.
39 SSB and 3 CW QSOs. The rest are FT8. Never saw FT4 activity at all. LP
doesn't work very well, so no MSK144 either.
Those non-FT8 QSOs were mostly with stations never seen on FT8. Once FT8 -
always FT8? Band was wide open to W5/0, but the volume just wasn't there.
Briefly saw AZ Sat evening which was FB beyond one hop.
Alleged DQRM from a WA2 forced HP 6M guy S of me off - totally unnecessary to
say the least.
Didn't see much W6/7 activity.
Next year, the Jan. event is not going to start on the 15th which I believe is
the earliest possible start date. Am I still the only one who advocates a swap
with the RTTY Roundup? Comments for many years have presumably fallen on deaf
ears, although feedback is good.
