Comments:
FT-891 with aluminum 6m 1/2 wavelength dipole
FT-817ND with Elk 2M/440L5 log periodic
130' ASL in Andover, Mass.
Work emergency (failed RAID) ruined my whole weekend, limiting prep and op time.
I also didn't put up any 2m stuff until late Sunday, being dark and very cold
Saturday when I got home from work. I started operating at 5PM Saturday. I lost
Sunday afternoon to work as well. Running 2m for an hour late Sunday night
gained 5 multipliers and changed the whole deal.
Sunday evening possible tropo enhancement helped me on 2 and 6. Activity and
participation seemed fine. Worked local calls I've never seen in a VHF contest
before.
Thanks for the QSOs
73 Alexander N1PRW
