Comments:
Planned on working more, however I always have excuses. Friday as I was
starting to get ready, things started acting up at the station. When I went to
bed Friday night all was working except for the antenna rotor control (Arduino)
unit. I still had not setup the voice messages. Saturday morning I put another
controller (Rotor EZ) in place and all the hardware checked out. I did not get
to configure the voice messages, so I decided just to use my regular voice.
Started out a little late. First contact at 21:07 on 15 meter. Worked down the
bands from there. I did listen for signals on 160M just before quitting, but
heard nothing.
Worked Pete (W4WWQ) and heard Jerry (W1IE), and John (N3MN). I planned to work
more on Sunday, but we did the Family Thanksgiving dinner that late afternoon
and evening. I suppose I could have made some more contacts, but the activity
here at the house was too distracting. It did not get quiet until 9:30 PM
Sunday evening, so my BIC was low.
Once I got the tin ear working and the rhythm down I started to have a little
fun. Since I was working assisted, I did spend some time selectively calling
the sections bud they were not all represented by the time I went to bed on
Saturday night.
Everyone deserves a little self flogging, and SSB can be that. I feel a little
punished, but I'll get over it.
