Comments:

The score tells the story: behind the 8 ball! Never heard a peep on 15 and 20,
and more importantly the RBN didn't hear me! It was an exciting start on 40
where I was keeping up with the NS stars, but that petered out and 80 really
killed my rate. Even after tearing apart the shack computer wiring, bonding its
case to the radio/amp boxes and power supply, I still have RFI to the logging
computer. On 80 it locks out the keyboard until the TX is done, so I can manage
it a bit. On 160 it's a horror show - random characters in the entry window,
total lockup of the USB hub that requires unplugging and replugging the
connectors. I am beginning to suspect that my flea market ferrites are not up
to the job. Next step is to measure the ferrites and determine if the mix is
appropriate to the task. Otherwise it's the DanWA solution: no computer, just
pen and paper! Maybe I'll try the N3QE solution: grounded metal plate under all
the computer cables? Maybe a shaman? Do they do RFI?

Many thanks for the Qs, and 73,
Mike NH
